What's It Like at a Shoot?
Is That Me?
That's my favorite thing to hear at a photoshoot. When you see yourself in professional hair and makeup, posed and lit by a professional photographer with glamourous wardrobe, a lot of people are surprised when they see preview pictures of themselves - everyday people who are dressed, posed, and lit like celebrities.
What Is Boudoir Photography?
There are as many different answers to that question as there are boudoir photographers. Boudoir literally means "private bedroom" so everyone defines it differently because that is such a vague word. Some people think it just means "sexy" photos or photos in lingerie. For me, boudoir photography simply means photography that helps people feel confident in the way they look. It lets women get in touch with their femininity and sensual side and fall in love with their physical appearance. I use light and posing to create mood and carve out the curves and edges of the body with highlights and shadows. For me, boudoir photography is more than just taking sensual pictures that make you happy - it is a whole experience. That's why I call it the VIP experience and offer it with professional hair and makeup. It's about treating you like the beautiful person that you are and giving you the experience you deserve to get you in the right mindset to get pictures taken that you are going to cherish forever. We offer a comfortable, safe environment where you can relax and have the best day. Boudoir photography is as much a luxury service as it is a genre of photography.
A lot of people use the word "empowerment" when they talk about boudoir photography. That's because there is a certain amount of power that comes from feeling confident in your physical appearance and knowing that you are incredibly beautiful.
My goal is to deliver the best experience for you that you will remember for the rest of your life. Most of my clients have never had a professional photoshoot, so I do my best to make everything as easy as possible.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be a "model" to have my portrait taken?
Most of the people we work with are everyday people in their 30s or 40s. We specialize in posing and lighting people to make them look their absolute best regardless of how many followers they have on Instagram.
Do you provide hair and makeup?
Hair and makeup is so important ot the experience that we include hair and makeup with our price with premier hair and makeup artists in San Diego as part of the experience.
I see you have lots of other's people's pictures on your website. Are you going to put my pictures on your website?
Not unless you want me to! The pictures I use on my site for promotion were done specifically for that purpose and we never share or post your pictures online without your permission.
Can I bring a friend or significant other?
Of course! Especially if they like to take behind the scenes pics. I always allow one friend or significant other to come. I've only had one occassion when the significant other became a problem, so I ask that whoever you bring be encouraging and not interfere with process. For me, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable at every stage of the shoot, from deciding to book, to getting ready to shoot, the shoot itself, and the interaction afterwards receiving your final pictures. Lots of people bring friends to their shoot.
What kind of retouching are you going to do to my images?
Unless you are concerned with something, by defualt, I'll clear up any acne or skin issues like bruises. I also will smooth out wrinkles in clothes and adjust color and overall brightness in the image. However, every pixel in the image can be changed. I usually don't digitally push pixels around to make people skinnier unless specifically asked. Things like moles and scars can also be removed, but I typically don't change things unless asked if they are permanent characteristics of a person.
Can you give me the raw or unedited photos?
No. I never do that, even as a cost saving measure for the same reason you can't order food raw at a restaurant and take it home and cook it yourself. We only offer final products that only reflect our style and level of quality.
What if I have to cancel or reschedule?
We want you to be happy and a lot of our customers are repeat customers. We take cancellations and requests to reschedule on a case-by-case basis because sometimes, other appointments are cancelled or turned away to make room for your shoot. But, we'll try to come up with a reasonable solution to make everybody as happy as possible.
Can I choose to upgrade to a better package later
Absolutely! Lots of people start with the base package and then upgrade to a better package after the preview files are delivered. I also retain unpurchased images for some time if you choose to purchase them later.
Do you only offer boudoir photos with the VIP Experience?
No, I have an extensive colletion of dresses and you're also welcome to bring your own clothes. We offer luxury portraits with hair, makeup, and the same services as a boudoir shoot.
What kind of packages do you offer?
We have a number of packages that include luxury print albums with differnt amount of pictures. We also offer the digital versions of the pictures that you purchase and offer in-house printing services. The best thing to do is to contact us and get the process started so we can discuss your wants.
What is the VIP member's section of the website?
